Our articles should be interesting enough to read and reliable enough to use. These standards guide what we publish.

Accuracy and sourcing

• Use primary, official, and current sources whenever practical.
• Attribute claims to the organization or publication that made them.
• Separate confirmed facts from reported claims, forecasts, criticism, and unknowns.
• Preserve exact identifiers such as recall lot codes, product names, dates, and model numbers when readers must compare them directly.
• Do not invent quotes, reviews, consensus, prices, product experience, or expert conclusions.

Freshness and event matching

For current events, we check whether a source describes the same event and time period as the article. An authoritative old page is not evidence for a new event merely because the entity is the same. Time-sensitive offers and availability claims should not be presented as current unless their present validity can be established.

Consumer and product coverage

Manufacturer specifications are treated as manufacturer claims, not independent proof of overall quality. Reviews, customer experiences, and independent testing are identified according to their source. Comparisons include only the fields we can support, and words such as “best” should be justified by an explicit method and sufficient evidence.

Automation and human review

Automated systems may help discover subjects, organize evidence, draft text, and flag unsupported or incomplete statements. They do not publish autonomously. A human editor reviews and approves each article before it appears on the public site. Buzz & Proof remains responsible for what it publishes.

Sensitive subjects

Health, safety, legal, tax, and financial topics require stronger sourcing and more careful language. General information is not personalized professional advice. Rumors, allegations, and disputed claims must be attributed and should not be upgraded into fact through repetition.
